Todd Williamson of OmBase Yoga studios joined us on our community day. Todd Mansfield opened up about an “Aha” moment he had after watching a documentary about Football player Ricky Williams.
Todd’s new Mantra is “Next Point”. Why let what has happened linger and bother you? Instead, move on. Learn from what has happened, breathe through what is bothering you and address the issues and person, but don’t let anger control what happens to you next.
Todd Williamson’s concern was that due to Todd Mansfield’s tie in with sports, it was going to be about winning or losing when it should be about being. Can it just be about being for you?

Todd and Laura went toe to toe on this one. Laura believes that self care takes top priority. If the rest of the world doesn’t fit in with her schedule, then it will have to wait. She is able to be her best mom when she is able to do her Meditation every morning and her Yoga on the weekends. Todd feels he is holding down the fort of the weekends and wants more family time on Sunday and wants more time to do the list of things that needs to be done on the weekend.
Glenda Montgomery, our guest on Tuesday, suggests that we spend 15 minutes each day with each kid and that can change every thing. Can we find those 15 minutes while running a company, making dinner, getting the kids to bed and keeping our own sanity?
It’s a journey not a race, but does it ever end?

2011 is going to begin with a bang here at Pagatim.fm! We are launching a new show, ZenParenting. The hosts of the show are Todd and Cathy Adams out of Chicago. They joined Todd to talk about their background, their road to ZenParenting and how handling three girls under the age of 7 is their formula for success.
Actually, they will share their real recipe on their first show, January 4th, 4:30pm CST (2:30pm PST). As a parent coach, Cathy has talked with thousands of parents about the ups and downs. She even put together many of her own struggles and learned lessons along the way into a book, The Self Aware Parent. Both Laura and Todd recommend it. It’s an easy and beneficial read.
Todd came about his role in ZenParenting, much like Todd Mansfield did. Along the way, he has been able to share his perspective as a man and how we look at things differently.
This episode gets you set for what will be a very enjoyable journey. Especially if you are from the Midwest. Find them on Facebook at ZenParentingRadio, Twitter at Zenparenting or at their new webpage, zenparentingradio.com.

Laura brought back more than just luggage and Macadamia nuts from Hawaii. She discussed what she learned and how she has utilized that as a parent, allowing her to connect even more with the boys. Todd referred to his big learning this week: “It’s happening for you, not to you.” Simple change, big difference…great show.

Connor, our 6 year old was our special guest. He talked honestly about school, about how Dad sets boundaries (so-so), and how he will take care of the chickens in our back yard, when we get them. We talked about the Gyrobike and how that could help him ride his bike. We reflected on what we learned at the Better Living Show.

Todd’s Mansfield Moment caught Laura totally of guard as did the Date that she planned. This week’s PD goal is too limit kids screen time. Can you do it? Send us your story. We share a couple ideas of what you can do to make that TV time even better.
