Letters to Hosts make a big difference

Letters to Hosts make a big difference

Todd and Laura spent the show revisting last Tuesday’s episode where they had it out on the air about issues on the homefront. Were things different? Had their feelings towards each other changed? Did Laura trust Todd anymore?

Another highlight in the show was the moment when Todd read two fabulous emails that were sent in by listeners: one blasting Laura and the other telling Todd he was fairly off base. The feedback was fun to talk about and learn from. Thank you listeners!

Martha Brockenbrough sure can write…

Martha Brockenbrough sure can write…

Laura and Todd get a chance to interview some pretty special people every week. Every now and again, we find some of our guests hilarious and because our lives are busy and sometimes too serious, it’s important that we replay great interviews like this one.  Martha Brockenbrough, writer and Humorist came onboard to talk Grammar and she wound up talking about her run in with the Queen of England plus Justin Timberlake. Her new book  ”Things that make us [Sic]“, focuses on all things grammatical. It’s a hilarious look at something we need to use everyday, using pop culture and our own mistakes to allow us to learn.

Laura and Todd talk cleanse. No pictures, just thoughts. It’s important that parents are healthy because without that how can you give 100% to your kids? Speaking of kids, they are always growing and changing, but do parents continue to grow? Laura’s recent experience backs up her theory.

Step 1 in long journey

Step 1 in long journey

Ok, time to own up. I’m 6’2″ 209 lbs with 23% body fat and bald. Sometimes I think it’s amazing my wife still loves me. Today, I started the journey to better health. Our friends at replenishpdx have me on our cleanse and P90X is waiting in the wings. So, the first meal which included nuts, apple juice and coconut milk and other items, looks very questionable.  However, I will admit, it tasted great! Of course, I wanted to eat six more bowls of it, because it seemed like not enough. But, I do get to eat again in a couple hours. It’s a Blueberry Cucumber smoothie. Yes, I will post a picture and my reaction to it.

The Cleanse of a Lifetime

I’m freaking out! Laura just read me the info on the cleanse we are starting Monday. The food and smoothies look and sound amazing but seriously there is one thing that’s really wigging me out. I have to give myself an Enema. I don’t know if I can do it right or spell it right. I’m all about cleaning out the system but I gotta do that?

Have any of you ever done that? Please reassure me that it’s not as bad as it seems. Please!

By the way, if you haven’t signed up to join us on this journey now that know what will really happen, why don’t you?
