Mothering.com and Parenting Unplugged

The March 12th release by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding slings as being unsafe for children, upset many of us in the parenting community.

Both Laura and I believe that the use of slings is one of the most loving and wonderful ways to transport your young children.  We used a sling with both of our children. Our youngest son Drew was a preemie and we believe that our wearing him for his first 9 months is one of the reasons he is such a healthy child today. In our humble opinion, the CPSC release was both media hyped and not valid.

The good news is that this report has helped create a wonderful new relationship between Parenting Unplugged Radio and Mothering Magazine.  We couldn’t be happier or more excited to be working with their wonderfully talented team.
