Internationally renowned Musician Suni Paz was our special guest. She shared with us the way she believes music can change the lives of kids and how it gives all of us the chance to find that real person inside of us. Her Parting Wisdom was inspiring.

    Suni, I loved hearing your voice in this interview, just reminding me how much I miss you. I wish you had mentioned “Sparkles and Shadows,” a book I truly loved that speaks of who you are. I have your two CDs, and look forward to the next one. If I ever make it out to Vegas to visit my sisters, I’ll make sure that
    we have a chance to get together.

    I have had the pleasure of seeing Suni perform with children.
    What a light she is. Thank you for having her on the show.
    I cried when she sang the first song and I don’t even know
    Spanish! It is a reminder that music touches us on a soul
    level. I found this show very inspiring and so I’m passing it
    on to some wonderful parents of young children that I know.
    Thank goodness there are people like Suni to help us remember
    what is important and give us the tools to do it.

When you came to NYC last September and we performed (me on cello of course) for the children at Juguemos a cantar, and at the Taller Latinoamericano and the People’s Voice Cafe, people were so delighted to hear your wonderful music.     As always, it was wonderful to hear you, and I loved what you said about learning and getting your inspiration from the children themselves. Your music, so true to your worldview, is so rich, warm and human, not pretending that problems don’t exist, but reinforcing people’s strength to change the way things are and to help each other. And the story about your grandfather is my favorite one in SPARKLES AND SHADOWS, which people will love reading too. People who know only your children’s music should also listen to your beautiful, poignant adult music. I miss you.

    Your music is so enchanting. I can see why children love it too, as it is a wonderful and easy way to relate to others.
